The Glassburn party’s first day was filled with sunshine, flat water and steady fishing. The group fished primarily in Shelikof Bay where they picked up their kings and silvers. Three of the kings were upper 20 pounders.

Day two, the ocean kicked up. Most of the fleet scattered up and down the coast. Some boats picked away in The Shark Hole, while others including Captain Chuck returned to the Bay, but didn’t find the productive bite from the day before. They still managed to find three kings and nine silvers. They caught their halibut on the gravel flat off The Cape.

The wind will diminish overnight and continue to be 10 knots or less until Saturday. The fishing should be comfortable and allow the fleet to explore all the regular spots in search of salmon and get offshore for halibut. The kings have been abundant and show better size than the fish we caught earlier this season. Hopefully they stick around. Stay tuned.

Another great year of fishing! We have already started sharing our bounty with friends in California. Thanks to everyone at AU for making it such a spectacular, one-of-a-kind experience.
