Hi Robert,
Great to hear from you. Our focus is on the world class salt water fishing off Sitka. We do have a local guide who we work with who specializes in river fishing. As for species: the best time for steelhead is very early in the season from late April through the end of the third week in May. From May through the middle of July there are dolly varden in the rivers and in the salt water near the rivers. Pink salmon show up around mid-July in the river mouths and make it into the river by the end of the month. Coho fishing is best after at least the middle of September. There are no kings in the rivers around Sitka – that is strictly a salt water show. Feel free to contact us with any questions or if we can help arrange a trip with a local fresh water guide.

Do you offer any river fishing for Kings and/or Chohos, Stealhead?? If so, when is the best time as we are planning to take the Lindblad Alaska Exp. this year and would like to go fishing after the boat docks in Sitka. I also fish for Stripers in Buzzards Bay!

We are confident that the regulations will be better in 2012 than 2011. Captain Tom is 95% certain that the regs will be as mentioned. We are looking forward to fishing with your family. If we get a couple ‘Barn Doors’ hooked up, fluke fishing may never be the same!

The change for 2012 look’s more inviting if it is changed. My wife booked a suprise trip for my son inlaw, my son and myself. Our biggest intrest is HALIBUT when i saw the 2011 37” I was not to thrilled. We do alot of fluke fishing here in connecticut. We hope the change takes place . MIKE, BRIAN , DAVE…

Fish with Phil the frist week in Aug and limited out 3 day with King and slivers. One of the best fishing trips i been on.
