Contacted Chuck about Deckhand position – none open, only processing job available – declined position. Chuck called back a couple weeks later – took me out to lunch – showed me pictures of Sitka Fishing – signed up for processing job on the spot. Processed one year, deckhanded for Ben for 3 years, 6th year as a captain.
Favorite part of the job: Helping clients achieve their trip of a lifetime! Meeting new people, seeing old faces and catching big fish.
What do you do in the off season: Hunt, Fish, Coach Hockey, and substitute teach (in that order!)
