History with Angling Unlimited/How did you get connected with AU/Sitka: I founded Angling Unlimited on a dream and a prayer in 1988 in Neah Bay, Washington. Been there since the beginning.
History of fishing: I began fishing at about the same time I began walking—2 years old. I’ve fished extensively on the East Coast, West Coast, Caribbean, and South America. I’ve fished the North Pacific as a charter captain for 22 years.
Hobbies/Interests: Fly fishing in salt water, running.
Favorite fish and how do you like it cooked: I like too many kinds of fish in too many ways to narrow it to one. Who says it has to be cooked either? If it’s really my favorite, maybe I’d rather let it go.
What is it that you like most regarding your job at Angling Unlimited: Life on the water with all the interesting people that step aboard my boat.
What do you do in the off season: Write, fish, hang out with my kids, fight the political battles that the charter industry is embroiled in, and work toward making Angling Unlimited a better place each year.
