The Jones group – Geoff Jones, Eric Dull, Tor Kristian Berg, and Matt Goodrich – released 8 kings and kept four on their first morning out on May 17. Weather was sunny and calm so Captain Ryan Refshaw dedicated late morning and afternoon to catching nice halibut including a 50 and an 80 pounder. The king fishing slowed a wee bit on their second morning but they boated their limit of four, then headed offshore for halibut limits including fish of 50, 60 and 90 pounds. What a great way to start the season.
