Kings are busting out all over with the Angling Unlimited fleet finding fish in excellent numbers in many locations. All 0ur boats limited on kings with some excellent catch and release action to add to the fun. Halibut action was steady, again with all boats limiting. The Sitka Trailblazers party fishing with the Captain Greg Mohs brought in a 120 halibut on June 16. Most of the halibut landed are perfect sized chickens in the 20 to 50 pound range, but the hope for something larger is ever present. Weather has been overcast, with relatively gentle westerly winds and very manageable seas. Temperatures on the ocean have been in the mid to upper 50’s.
