Run and Gun

By July 29, 2012One Comment

The past two days delivered a welcome resurgence in king fishing along with continued excellent silver fishing. On Friday the kings showed up in good numbers mixed in with the silvers. My group, which included Warren Parker who started fishing with me back in 1989 in Neah Bay, landed 4 kings and released 4 others along with a limit of silvers. The Erwert group, who began fishing with us in 1994, had similar results as did a group of 16 from the College Club in Seattle, many of whom have also been with us for well over a decade. On Friday the seas were dead calm. On Saturday the seas kicked up some, but everyone managed limits or near limits of silvers and kings again. Still lots of baitfish in the water, good numbers of whales around, and all signs look very positive for things to continue in high gear.
