Annessa FederAnnessa Feder

Annessa is from Nevis, Minnesota and graduated from Nevis High School in 2011 She just completed her sophomore year at South Dakota State University where she is majoring in pharmacy. She enjoys spending her free time skiing, wakeboarding, and tubing on the lake in the summer. She also really enjoys running and staying active.

She’s excited about the job because it is an amazing opportunity to meet new people, develop great friendships, and experience the beautiful scenery of Alaska. She can’t wait meet the crew and make a lot of great memories.

Eric MellandEric Melland Final

Eric was born and raised in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He grew up loving the outdoors, deer hunting, wing shooting, fishing, snowmobiling and camping. He also played tennis, hockey, baseball, and lacrosse in high school. A fun fact about Eric is he is a state and national champion in hockey.

He heard about the position through a friend and fell in love with the opportunity when he began his research. He is excited for the opportunity to meet some great people while enjoying some of the most beautiful views in North America. He’s looking forward to fishing every day and making memories with new friends all summer long!

Ryan Leverington

Ryan was raised in Roseau, Minnesota.  He loves almost anything to do with the outdoors including, hunting, fishing Lake of the Woods and exploring the great outdoors Minnesota has to offer!   A sophomore at University of Minnesota Duluth, Ryan is pursuing a degree in criminology with a minor in environmental and outdoor recreation education.

During high school, Ryan was in Alaska for a mission trip and fell in love it. With his love for the outdoors, fishing and Alaska, it was a no brainer that he wanted to work for a fishing company in Alaska. We’re glad to help with getting Ryan back to Alaska!

Derek Krzenski

Derek is a college student at the University of Minnesota Duluth pursuing a triple major in mathematics, statistics and actuarial sciences and economics. He grew up in Circle Pines, Minnesota where he attended Centennial High school. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, snowboarding, hockey, camping, playing guitar and everything outdoors. He was recruited by his college friend and current AU deckhand, Jon Dordal, to apply for the  position. Derek has always been an avid fisherman, so the opportunity to help people have the time of their lives while reeling in fish sounded incredible.  The fact that he would get to experience the great state of Alaska was also very enticing. He knows its an experience that many people do not get to have in their lives and cannot wait for it to begin!

Lindsey WhiteLindsey 2

Lindsey is from Menahga, Minnesota.  She has always been active in sports and her community.  She values her time with family above anything. She recently graduated from Itasca Community College where she finished her Associate of Arts degree and coaching certification.  While at ICC, she played volleyball and softball.  Next year, she will transfer to Valley City State University where she signed a letter of intent to play softball and to finish her degree in physical education/health.  She is close family friends with the McNamee’s and has grown up hearing about Angling Unlimited and being spoiled with lots of salmon and halibut!  The attraction to the job for her was working with friends/family and experiencing life in Alaska.  She can’t wait to start working and meet her summer family!

I am no longer considered to be a “cheechako”, having spent a year as a guest of Uncle Sam at Fort Greeley near Big Delta! Ever since then I’ve yearned to get back up to Alaska! There is nothing I would love to do more than become a member of one of your boat crew’s! Which I know is practically impossible, no matter how much I would long for such an experience. That’s because I happen to be an Auld Phart,(75) Which I’m sure you guy’s would want nothing to do with! Heck! If I had enough money, I would be willing to pay you just for the experience! It seem’s to me that you guy’s exude nothing but good karma! Which is why I have become such a big fan of Angling Unlimited! You guy’s rock! Good luck!

Thanks, Keith! That is great to hear. I love the enthusiasm. If you make it to Sitka, make sure to drop us a line!

I live in Circle Pines and the name Krzenski sounds familiar . Sounds like you have some youth this year to help out all the “old timers”. Hope you have a very successful season Geno ( Happy Hooker )
