Captain Tom's Fishing Repor FInal

Captain Ben finished his third day with Gene and Mary Grommesch and Mike and Linda Solberg. Each day of their trip was sunny, but 15 knot winds made the ocean a bit bumpy. That didn’t stop them from catching their limit of silvers the first two days of their trip. The first day, they fished in Shelikof Bay with the rest of the fleet where they found their silvers and three large kings that were all near the 25-pound mark. They were also able to find three keeper halibut while salmon fishing. The second day they had their silvers by 8 a.m. and the ocean laid down enough to move offshore to halibut fish. They quickly caught their halibut and added some large yelloweyes to their catch.

Mary shared some of her favorite fish recipes before she left. Keep an eye on the Recipe of the week – one of hers will make an appearance before the season is over!
