It Continues!

AU’s anglers continue to enjoy a wonderful combination of calm seas and excellent fishing. King numbers are on a steady upswing with fast limits the rule. The size of the kings varies from school to school and day to day, but we’re seeing a general increase on that front. We’re not talking monsters, but an improvement over the early season. The calm weather and fast king action allowed for longer trips to the deep, deep water for good-size halibut plus catches of blackcod. Rockfish remain a gimme, but legal size lingcod have been a little more evasive. All in all, mid-June is in excellent form. It’s no wonder many of our guests and more than a few of us captains love this time of the year.
