The silver run appears to be building but it’s not exactly a linear ascent. Our guests have enjoyed near limits on some days and endured scratchy action on others. We experienced a bit of rough weather on Sunday and Monday which didn’t help. Today the silver bite started hot and ended cold with half limits by 8:30 AM and little after. Our guests are still catching good numbers of kings. Halibut fishing remains very solid closer to shore in depths of 250 feet and farther offshore in 500 to 650 feet. The deeper halibut spots kick out a fair number of blackcod and pacific cod on most days. Of course, you can always count on the rockfish for a bit of guaranteed action to spice the day.
