This trip as all trips was fantastic. Weather was really nasty Sunday. We managed to get 3 king keepers between the 4 of us, Gary held out, wanted to try and get a bigger one, I let 7 additional King keepers go as per the non-resident limit, 3 baby halibut and a couple silvers and rock fish was our count for the day. Fishing was a little better on Monday, still weather was less than desirable. Fishing was better for a short time, I managed to land 6 nice silvers in approx 20 minutes, unheard of, then seemed to taper off. Not by lack of effort by DJ and deckhand Luke “Luther” McNamee was the cause of slow catching, fish just were not hungry, Tuesday we went deep for cod and got Pacific cod and a few black cod, along with the final King for the 4 of us, nicer size halibut and a couple Ling cod. Bella and the staff at the lodge are great as always, nice talking with everyone at tent night. It was like you don’t see or talk to people for a year and you just pick up where you left off when you do see them.
