Why you’re here/Why Alaska: I had the opportunity to come work at AU for the end of the 2022 season. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with Sitka. The atmosphere and the people are just the beginning. This will be my third time back, this time for the full season. I’m so excited for the experience and can’t wait to make more fishy memories!
What do you do in the offseason?: Typically in the off season, you can find me traveling around the country. (Finding warmer weather, visiting friends and hiking in different State Parks) I usually pick up an odd job, here and there. This winter I was a longterm substitute teacher.
What you love to do/hobbies: I love being outdoors, cooking/baking, working out, playing cards, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
Education/Goals/Career Plan: I graduated from Bemidji State University in 2022 with a degree in Elementary Education. I have been teaching part time but am unsure of what the future holds for a longterm career.
