Our Boats/Tackle
After years of searching for the perfect production boat, Angling Unlimited decided to co-design a craft of our own. We collaborated with Almar to design a custom built boat with one purpose—true sport fishing in the North Pacific. Unlike most production boats, ours are dedicated from the keel up for fishability and comfort. Our boats feature 360 degrees of fishing space, a heated cabin with seating for six and a private head (marine toilet) forward. All anglers travel to the grounds in a dry, comfortable cabin. You can fish fore, aft, or in between on the full walkaround. If you have an urge to try-out your own ultra-light gear, bring it along. If you want to cast a fly, fire away. Experiment. Have fun. Challenge yourself. Take a few laps around the boat with a big king. That’s what it’s all about.
At the helm you’ll find state of the art electronics: radar, plotter, GPS, radios, and fish finder. Below the waterline our boats feature a smooth riding, rock solid, seaworthy deep-vee design. And they are powered by a highly reliable Volvo diesel Duoprop. We get you to the grounds quickly, comfortably, and safely.
For halibut, we use Penn or Okuma Levelwinds and stand up tuna rods. The reels are spooled with 80 pound Spectra (superbraid) line.
Great Electronics – To assure that you will get to the fishing grounds safely, and fish efficiently once you arrive!
360 degrees of fishing platform – The ability to continue fishing while others have one hooked-up will give you more multiple hook-ups, more fishing time, more fish, and more fun!
Follow that King! – The walk-around deck allows you to stay on top of your fish to avoid tangles so others can continue fishing.
