Maple Pecan Crusted Salmon

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound salmon filet(s)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (dark brown if you prefer)
  • 1/2 cup real maple syrup
  • 2 T soy sauce
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans

Remove skin from the salmon filet(s), rinse and pat dry. Mix brown sugar, maple syrup, soy sauce and cayenne in gallon size zip lock baggie. Add salmon filets to marinade. Marinade filets 20 minutes. After marinating, place salmon filets in shallow baking dish and baste with remaining marinade. Broil on high 7 to 10 minutes or until salmon is cooked through (if pecans are well-toasted before salmon is cooked cover baking sheet with aluminum foil and continue broiling until salmon is thoroughly cooked.) Enjoy!
