I’ve been fishing in Sitka, Ak for 20 years. I had fished with 2 other outfitters. One was good and one was horrible… I was lucky and was able to book 2 of us for August 2-6, 2014. As soon as we were met at Sitka Airport, I knew that Angling Unlimited had some friendly staff. Little did I know how friendly they all were. Every detail of the trip was explained on the first day. There was no surprises other than top notch service. My biggest grin was from fishing with Capt. Phil and Deckhand Mike. I can’t compare them to other Captains at Angling Unlimited, since this was my first trip with them. I can compare them with the last 20 years at other lodges and they are the very best. I can come up with all sorts of adjectives like, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, polite, very hard working, but it still wouldn’t describe them. They made us extremely happy to have had another Alaskan experience. We are already booked for August 1st, 2015…

Above and beyond, is what I would describe our experience at Angling Unlimited (AU). We were met at Sitka Airport with the smiling faces of the AU hostesses. Kendra was assigned to our group, and she gathered us all and shuttled us to the AU lodge. She was very friendly and helpful as we tried on our rain gear and boots. She went over what would happen in the following 3 days. The following day we were up bright and early. After breakfast we all gathered for the 2-minute ride to our assigned fishing boats. Spencer was our Captain and Hudson was the deckhand. It’s hard to describe the excellence of service that Spencer and Hudson provided us. We had 3 perfect days of fishing and a bonus sighting of 2 pods of Orcas breaching and just having a good old time splashing their fins and tails. After more than a dozen years of fishing with AU, I’m still amazed at the first-class service, they always provide for all their guests. Bella works tirelessly to make sure everything runs smoothly during your stay. Every person working at AU was handpicked by the owners, Chuck and Jenn. In conclusion, I’ve been fishing in Alaskan waters for nearly 30 years and have not found one other company that provides the quality of service that AU will give you.
