New Crew for 2015

Jake Roth bioJake Roth

Jake lives in Moorhead, Minnesota where he works as an electrician. After meeting former office manager, Aleta, in Maui a couple years ago, she told him about Sitka and Angling Unlimited. Since then, he hasn’t been able to get Sitka and AU off his mind. Jake also guides for muskies in Minnesota and enjoys the excitement of helping others catch the fish of their dreams. He can’t wait to put his skills to work. He knows that Sitka has one of the best fisheries in the world and is excited to experience it first hand.

Ella Cummings

Ella visited Sitka last summer and fell in love with it. It’s now calling her back to hostess for AU. Originally from Grand Rapids, MN, she lives in Duluth where she is going to school and trying to find a sector of environmental studies that fits her nature-craved lifestyle. When she’s not near the large water of Lake Superior, she tries to get near an ocean. This past winter she spent three weeks on Kauai, exploring the island and the water around it. She is excited to be near the ocean in Sitka and help everyone who visits have the same, unforgettable experience that she’s had.

Aaron Timian

Originally from Bismarck, North Dakota, Aaron is no stranger to Sitka. He is new to AU, but he has years of experience working as a deckhand for another lodge in town. He’s also been visiting, working, and going to school in this great state since 2010. Some of his favorite Alaskan adventures happened when he was going to school in Anchorage. He explored the Kenai Peninsula, where he was able to fish and sea kayak. He also traveled the Yukon River from Eagle to the Dalton Highway Bridge. He hopes to add a Sitka summer worth of adventures to that list!

Allison Godin

Allison is from the small town of Leonard, Minnesota, which has a crowded population of 29. She wanted to come to Alaska because it’s such a beautiful place and full of adventure. The largest fish she has caught are from Minnesota lakes. Her goal for the summer is to catch a big fish (we should be able to take care of that). She’s also excited to make new friends and eat delicious, fresh seafood.

jack

Jack Barnick

Straight from the Twin Cities, Jack is coming north to Alaska. He’s studying biology and fisheries at Bemidji State University in Northern Minnesota. It’s safe to say the outdoors is his passion. He loves fishing, hunting, canoeing, and playing baseball. He hopes to catch big fish and help our anglers enjoy their time on the water in an amazing place.

Hawaiifish

Eric Oliver

Eric will be AU’s new processor for 2015. He learned of the position from last season’s processor, Collin. They both went to high school in Lakeville, Minnesota together. Eric spent last summer working in Seward and his winter working in Hawaii. He’s passionate about the outdoors. His favorite activities are fishing, camping, hiking, kayaking, and traveling. He can wait to get to Sitka and meet everyone.
