The change is subtle, almost imperceivable, yet we’ve left the shortest, darkest day of the year in the rearview mirror. It’s no coincidence that so many cultures have major holidays close to the winter solstice as we turn the corner toward the promise of longer days. It’s a time to gather in the glow of the fireplace and the lights of the holiday tree. A time to feast (hopefully not too much) and enjoy the warm connections of friends and family. We also celebrate the planetary movement toward the next fishing season.
The Angling Unlimited family wishes all our fishing friends and their families a Happy Holidays. No matter what your tradition, may you bask in warmth brought by family, the glow from the fireplace, or the sun for those of you in the lower latitudes. As soon as this special time of the year passes, we’ll be hard at work preparing for our 32nd season in Sitka. We hope to see you there.
