Why Alaska?: My best friend Blake Turner came up here last summer, and he always talks about how much he loved it. I’ve also always heard incredible things about Alaska and have always wanted to see it with my own eyes.
What you do in the offseason?: I work in construction. When I was in school, I worked for ABC Supply Company and Hobb’s Excavating and Trucking, but after this fishing season I will step into a new role as a construction manager.
What you love to do/Hobbies: I have always loved to hunt and fish. My life seems to revolve around hunting seasons, and I wouldn’t change that for the world.
Education/Goals/Career Plan: This summer, I have to take one class to receive a bachelor’s degree in construction management. After the fishing season, I plan to move to Toponas, Colorado. There, I will work for a commercial contractor in Steamboat Springs or the Eagle Valley.
