Good fishing on a rough day

By June 11, 2010No Comments

Despite the first bout of rough water in the past few weeks, nice kings in large numbers were found on calm protected waters. Excellent size kings from 25 to 35 pounds were caught with limits on all Angling Unlimited boats, plus some excellent catch and release action. Rough water on the ocean made halibut fishing challenging but most of the boats found limits. The Joe Tennant party opted to fish for halibut on the calm inside waters and brought in a thick 45 pounder. Forecast for the next few days is rough, but Sitka provides the great advantage of protected waters that consistently produce. Stay tuned.
