Cajun Salmon Alfredo

Let’s begin by gathering our ingredients for Cajun Salmon Alfredo:

Ingredients:
12 oz. fettuccine
1 pound salmon Cajun seasoning
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. dried cilantro
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
2 cups 2% milk
1/3 cup parmesan cheese

Bring large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook noodles. As noodles cook, skin salmon and lightly season with Cajun seasoning. Cook on the stovetop 3-5 minutes per side.

While pasta and fish cook, melt 1 tbsp. butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add flour, and whisk until a smooth paste is formed. Very slowly add the milk, about ¼ cup at a time, whisking constantly until smooth. Add 1/2 tsp. garlic powder, 1/4 tsp.cayenne, 1/2 tsp. cilantro, and salt and stir. Continue cooking and stirring until sauce thickens. Add 1/3 cup parmesan cheese to sauce and reduce heat to medium-low. Stir until cheese is melted.

When fish is cooked, shred into about 2” pieces. Add fish to sauce, and very gently stir to combine.

Serve over pasta. Plate to serve, enjoy!
