Ludger Szmania
This Saturday, we’re teaming up with Ludger Szmania of Szmania’s Restaurant to host a “Hook It & Cook It” event, which previews our May event.
This special event is $29 per person, which includes an exclusive menu. Guests will sample from a delicious two-course meal featuring seafood that can be caught in the waters around Sitka such as rockfish, salmon and halibut. Fine wines and specialty beers are available for purchase. Pairings will be selected to compliment each dish. Reservations are requested for priority seating.
Ludger and I will be available to answer any questions and I will be giving a short presentation that previews our upcoming fishing season.
This Saturday’s event is a preview of our “Hook It & Cook It” event that we host each year in May to kick off the new season. This year’s dates for Hook It & Cook It are May 16-21, fishing 17-20.
Each year, Ludger joins us in Sitka to fish and cook with our guests who attend for this special opportunity. Each evening of the trip, guests learn cooking skills and techniques from Ludger as he prepares a meal made with the catch of the day. Guests leave with ample fish, new culinary skills and gourmet menu ideas.
Our event captures the excitement of sport fishing, combined with education from a gourmet chef on seafood preparation.
