Recipe of the week: Sweet Jalapeño Salmon

Sweet Jalapeño Salmon

Let’s begin by gathering our ingredients for Sweet Jalapeño Salmon:

Ingredients:
salmon fillet
¼ cup honey
¼ cup lime juice
¼ cup chopped jalapeño peppers
1 tsp chili powder
¼ tsp cumin
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp salt

In a small saucepan, over medium heat, bring 1/4 cup honey, 1/4 cup lime juice, and 1/4 cup chopped jalapeño peppers to a boil. Reduce to low heat and simmer mixture for 10 minutes.

In a small bowl, add 1/4 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp chili powder, 1/4 tsp cumin, and 1/4 tsp salt. Use a spoon to mix all spices together. Rub spice mixture onto both sides of salmon fillets.

Place salmon fillets into a pan over medium heat and cook for 4-5 minutes on both sides. Brush salmon fillets with honey and lime juice mixture several times while cooking. Pour remaining honey and lime juice mixture over cooked salmon fillets and top with jalapeño peppers.

Plate to serve. Enjoy!
