The intermittent theme for silvers continues with lots one day in one spot but no-repeat the next day. In the last few days, half limits of silvers have been the rule for most of our boats. In the process of catching 10 or 12 silvers, it’s not uncommon to catch equal numbers of chums and kings. Throwing in abundant pinks and the salmon action is about as nonstop as it can get.
Offshore, the halibut seem slightly down in the last week, while the black cod and pacific cod catches have been solid. Two salmon sharks were caught in the past 4 days. As always, the rockfish action is a slam dunk. The weather remains mainly calm with a little rain mixed in.
